How to Prepare

We require fasting for all blood work—please do not eat for 8–12 hours before your appointment. Drinking water is encouraged to stay hydrated. Avoid alcohol or excessive caffeine the day before your test.

What to Expect Before & After

A blood draw is quick and generally causes only a small pinch or brief discomfort. Mild bruising or tenderness at the site may occur but usually resolves within a few days. Results are typically available within a few days, and your provider will review them with you to discuss any findings or next steps. Drinking water and gently moving your arm after the draw can help minimize soreness.
